'Free Throws for Heart' Charity Competition Lets Your Child Play Like a Pacer!

Give your kids the opportunity of a lifetime, and help someone else's child reach their dreams! Tom Wood Subaru and Tom Wood Volkswagen are partnering with non-profit group Giving Hearts a Hand and the Indiana Pacers in hosting the 'Free Throws for Heart' fundraiser on Sunday, February 19th. Giving Hearts a Hand is a local organization that looks to provide funding for cardiac screenings in high school athletes.
'Free Throws for Heart' is a free throw contest for boys and girls ages 8-18 will be held at Banker's Life Fieldhouse starting at 12:30pm. As part of the all-day event, each ticket purchased will include entry into the contest, a ticket to that night's Bobcats vs. Pacers game, food voucher, and Pacer Family Night T-shirt voucher. Participants in the contest will also get a "Free Throws for Heart" t-shirt and, most importantly, will get to shoot free throws on the same court the Pacers play and practice on! Contest winners will be recognized prior to the game.
The cost is $20 per ticket with all of the above being included, and upgraded tickets are also available for purchase. Tickets are available at www.pacersgroups.com/giving-hearts, passcode GHH. If your child is planning on participating in the free throw contest, please email your child's name, age, sex, and t-shirt size to givingheartsahand@gmail.com.

Working with Community Heart and Vascular and Franklin Memorial Hospital, Giving Hearts a Hand hopes to start cardiac screenings in local high schools in June of this year. Let's give them a helping hand to get started!
