Mitsubishi is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Hello Kitty with a very special edition of the Mirage. Scheduled to go on sale in Japan starting November 1, the Hello Kitty edition sports a pink paint job, Hello Kitty decals on the outside, special hubcaps and unique upholstery. Also included is a special Hello Kitty pillow!
This isn’t the first time Mitsubishi has joined with Sanrio to celebrate Hello Kitty. In 2006, they debuted the i-MiEV "Princess Kitty" Hello Kitty limited edition- of one. The Princess Kitty is finished in pink, with matching paint applied to the wheels. The Hello Kitty trademark ribbon logo is applied to the front doors and roof, while the rear doors get a "Princess Kitty" graphic with the lovable cartoon character's face. The back window also gets a large Hello Kitty face decal. The sideview mirrors feature Hello Kitty's face in relief. A portion of the sale proceeds went to Japan's UNICEF.
