"I have never had a better car buying experience in my life."

I took delivery of a 2014 Porsche Cayman from Steve Malz on May 23rd of this year, just last week. I have never had a better car buying experience in my life. From beginning to end the folks I interacted with at your store, led by Steve, were accommodating and superb. They went out of their way to meet my requests in a timely and professional manner. Every single thing I asked for they provided. Steve's responsiveness was extraordinary throughout the process. All communications I had tendered whether email or telephone, he responded to in less than 10 minutes- every time. He processed the order correctly and kept me updated as to the progress of the car at every step of the way. Upon delivery, Steve moved the car into the showroom right off the truck so I could see it pre-prep, as I requested. Jeremy allowed me to talk to Dan, my new Porsche mechanic, while he serviced the car.
My entire family has been involved in the car business since the 1950s. My father worked for Ford and owned several dealerships around the state of Indiana in the 60s and 70s that I hung around doing chores as a kid. My brothers work for Ford as well, so I have a pretty good idea how dealerships run and based on my recent experience at your Porsche store, you guys are doing it right. Excellent people and processes produced a very satisfied customer. So that's it. Just wanted to let you know.

I have posted the following on Yelp, cars.com, and to Toyota Motor Co. : My 18 year-old daughter and a friend of hers were on their first road trip from Minnesota to Virginia Beach when a warning light for overheating of the electric power steering on our 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid came on just outside Champaign, IL. She made it to her hotel in Indianapolis and I called Tom Wood Toyota (and another Toyota dealership) first thing in the morning. The other dealership said they couldn't possibly look at the vehicle for five days!! Quentin, the Service Manager at Tom Wood, agreed to not only look at the vehicle the same day, but immediately!! The service department discovered that luggage had been placed in front of the air intake vents for cooling the hybrid batteries, causing them to become to warm, which is what turned on the light. They repositioned the luggage, cleared the codes, and sent the girls on their way in about an hour, all at NO CHARGE!! I am extremely pleased with Tom Wood Toyota Service and highly commend them and Quentin for such outstanding service. THANK YOU!

"I cannot express the gratitude that I have for Tom Wood Volkswagen."

I just bought a new Volkswagen Beetle after our (totaled) 2009 Beetle saved the life of my daughter and her friends. They were rear ended two weeks ago and that little Bug saved them from a woman going 60 mph and texting. They were dragged down the road, spun around and ended up in a ditch. All three girls walked away with a few bumps, bruises and soreness. The people who witnessed the accident were positive that the girls were sure to have received massive injuries at the least, however, the strength of the metal may bend, but it did not break. Up until the accident, any issues or maintenance that was needed, Tom Wood Volkswagen took care of for her and also took care of her as she waited. I cannot express the gratitude that I have for the Tom Wood Volkswagen Service, Collision, and Sales departments. I also cannot thank Volkswagen itself for saving their lives that day. "The Service Department at Tom Wood Jaguar Land Rover Volvo now has Saturday hours."

If I had written this review 3 months ago, I would have given Tom Wood Jaguar Land Rover Volvo 3 stars. A-OK, but not quite worthy of a 4th star and me being a fan. I have not always had a perfect experience with the Service Department, but nothing that has been worth complaining about. On more than one occasion when I've mentioned that I'd like to be able to bring my car in, wait a short time for it to be repaired or diagnosed, or whatever and then be on my way, they explain that it's going to be awhile but I'm certainly welcome to wait for it to be done.

That's when I unleash my sneak attack and casually say, "Well if you had SATURDAY hours I could sit and wait. Maybe. If it's during the week, I need to work, not wait on my car to be finished."  Seeing the triumphant look on my face and not wanting to be trumped by the likes of me, the service specialist inevitably has replied, "We are not open on Saturdays."

I no longer have to unleash my sneak attack. The Service Department at Tom Wood Jaguar Land Rover Volvo now has Saturday hours. And if I have to wait for my car to be finished, I can wait in style in their customer lounge. As noted in an earlier review, this is not a place with a cheap linoleum floor, a non-HD TV cranked to 11 and bunch of 3 year old issues of Sports Illustrated & Field and Stream. Comfortable seats, plush carpet, flat panel television, free WiFi and free bottled water and (I think) free coffee.

I have been taking my Audi to Tom Wood for quite a while now (from scheduled AudiCare maintenance to a few warranty-covered issues). I have gotten to know the service department pretty well. Always courteous, kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They've been very personable, too. I  have received a great loaner vehicle with each visit (usually being asked which type I'd like to drive). The folks always call and contact me when my SUV is finished being serviced, and they have provided great turn-around for me on my shop visits.

Most recently, I was in for a car detail - - these folks have a very talented detailing team. My SUV looked like new (refreshed leather on the steering wheel, for example- which isn't easy). Ask them about the detail next time you're in - - they got me in early and back the same day (on a busy day). Competitive prices to say the least; best one I've had done. "I had a great experience at Tom Wood Land Rover."

I had great service all around. Travis was my point of contact. He got me in a rental as soon as he realized my service was going to be longer than expected and at checkout accepted a coupon for me that maybe shouldn't have applied (but sshhh, I don't want to get him in trouble for that).  I had gone to pick up supplies for work while in the rental and accidentally left them in the trunk after I turned it in. I called back at closing that day. The lady who answered the main line assured me my stuff would be safe. The next day Travis had taken everything out of the car and it was waiting in his office for me. When I arrived to pick up the supplies another very nice gentleman insisted on helping me put the stuff in my car. I had two big cases of water, so I really appreciated his help. When my car required additional service, I was able to work uninterrupted on my own daily tasks using the Service Manager's office to continue the work of the day, so I could keep helping those within my own company on technical issues. That was a big plus, since buying a new car you seldom want to leave it; being able to work in an office and receive updates on how things were going with my car was much appreciated. I am writing to recognize some members of your service department.  I feel that I was treated with prompt and professional care- above and beyond average service. 
On July 10th I was stranded in Fishers. My car would not start even after a jump. I was given Bill Demaree's name as a resource for a nearby service department that I might be able to send my non- Volvo vehicle to. I was notified that at Tom Wood Volvo, there was actually someone who was able to work on my car. Travis Wiggins called to arrange an appointment for service. I was unable to find a tow before my friend picked me up to take me to work.
The following day, with my husband now off-duty, we decided to try putting a new battery in my car. Before we could do so, I received a follow-up call from Travis asking if I needed to reserve time to bring my car in. I was to call back if the new battery was not the cure. I did not need to return the call.
I was very impressed with the professionalism and the unexpected follow-up phone calls. I will definitely recommend Tom Wood Volvo's service department because of my positive experience.

"My sales experience was more than excellent."

My sales experience was more than excellent. I had been looking for a truck for my husband for over six months and either the service was so terrible that we decided no matter how much we wanted the truck we would walk away or we just could not seem to find it at the right price. We were on a limited time to buy this vehicle due to business tax reasons and I finally convinced my husband to go to Indianapolis and we would just stop a the the first Ford dealership we came across. Tom wood Ford was the first one we stopped at and the last. We got immediate service as soon a we pulled in. I am very straightforward and told them what we had to have and what I was willing to spend. They found us a perfect 2012 Super Duty Crew Cab work truck, negotiated the price, and added needed options for work purposes, and we left that day with our truck and my sanity intact. The experience with our sales associate Chris Slagle all the way to the Finance Manager was excellent. They explained everything to us and even saved us a couple thousand dollars by having us finance it, which qualified us for extra rebates. The Finance Manager also explained to me how financing will help improve my credit score even more. The only mistake I made was not going back there when we decided we were ready to buy a used car for our daughter. I had another bad experience with the competition and decided to only stick with Tom Wood Ford for cars from now on because the down-home service and professionalism with Tom Wood is obviously not duplicated anywhere else. I took my car to Tom Wood Collision Center because of their arrangement with Travelers Concierge Claim Service as my car was damaged by a Travelers insured.  My car now seems like a new vehicle.  You can't even tell that it was in an accident while driving at 55-60 mph.  Plus it was finished on the date I was initially told. The Travelers claims people handled everything at the body shop.  Enterprise has an office on site too & they provided a loaner at no charge to me.  Very convenient.

Of course, I realize that Brian Hefner, as his manager, deserves praise too. Good salespeople are successful only from the backing & training from good managers.

"Where to start...I have lived all over the US and have dealt with the typical "Stealerships" as they are so lovingly referred to, but there is a bright, shining light on 96th just East of Keystone! From the moment I walked in the first time, I knew something was different. The Sales staff are there to assist, they were not pushy, overbearing, in fact, they were just really nice folks. I had actually gone in to buy a part, but when I saw the new Platinum Blue STI, well, I had to look her over; no pressure, no problem. After wiping off the drool, I head back to parts, where I was immediately and professionally assisted with my request. That was my first encounter with Tom Wood Subaru...but it gets WAY better.

So, as I have done elsewhere, I find the local Subaru club and start meeting new fellow Suby Enthusiasts only to find that there is this thing called a "Dark Meet" coming up. I was told that I really should try to attend, as there would be "a few" of the locals from the club at this semi-annual event being held at Tom Wood Subaru.

Well, I end up going, and when I pull up to the place, I could not believe what I saw!!! Tom Wood Subaru had removed all the cars from their front lot so that all the people from the club event could park there. The entire lot was packed, in many cases bumper to bumper, with some extremely nice rides. The majority of cars were WRXs and STIs, but there was also a nice representation of the Fozzy, Legacy and Outback. This dealership was not only opening their facility to the club, but had provided pizza and soft drinks, and were holding a self-subsidized raffle for some excellent items such as t-shirts, and even some great coats. What a complete and opposite experience from what I have had elsewhere, I mean, who else does this kind of stuff?

"I am an extremely proud owner of a 2010 Volkswagen CC and spend considerable time to keep it looking new. I had an issue with my vehicle shortly after picking it up from the service department. I noticed damage on the rear bumper around the license plate. Since I had made one stop after the service and before I noticed, I was not certain if the damage was done during maintenance or in the parking lot of the store where I stopped. I called Jim Worden the Monday after maintenance to see if he was aware or had been advised of any damage to my vehicle. He was not aware of any but asked me to bring it in. He took one look at it and said he would run it up to the body shop to have it buffed out. In less than 20 minutes he was back and the bumper looked as good as new. In spite of the fact that it was impossible to say that the damage occurred at the dealership, Jim didn't hesitate to make it right. The customer service experience was second to none for me. I greatly appreciated the time and effort Jim spent to remove the blemish and make my CC shine."
