The new 2025 Camry will feature completely new specs, thanks to a thorough revamp of its powertrain. With standard hybrid capability and dynamic handling, the refreshed sedan offers a modernized driving experience.

Powertrain

The new 2025 Toyota Camry has simplified its powertrain lineup to one: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with the new fifth-generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5). It's the first application of this new hybrid technology in tandem with the 2.5-liter engine in a sedan.

Two electric motors work with the internal combustion engine to produce an impressive 225 combined horsepower in front-wheel drive configurations. Models with the available all-wheel-drive setup get a bump to 232 horsepower combined. Specific net combined torque ratings aren't available yet, but the engine alone creates 163 pound-feet. Plus, Toyota engineers state that the electric motors are tuned for strong torque delivery at takeoff and lower speeds, providing solid acceleration and confident power.

The Toyota brand has only announced official EPA estimates for the 2025 Camry LE trim, which gets an EPA-estimated 53/50/51 MPG (City/Highway/Combined) on its FWD configuration.¹ The automaker's projections for other trims are slightly lower but still highly impressive.

Drivetrain

Two drivetrain options are available for the 2025 Toyota Camry. As expected, the sedan comes standard with its familiar front-wheel drive system to help maximize drivability and efficiency.

The 2025 Camry will also offer an available Electronic On-Demand All-Wheel Drive system on all trims. This all-wheel drive setup uses electric motors to selectively deliver power to the rear wheels when extra traction or stability is needed. Suspension and Handling

Media and Connectivity

The new 2025 Camry will make connectivity a breeze, allowing passengers to connect seamlessly with standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. They can access their favorite podcasts and music with the standard 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touch screen or the available 12.3-inch version. A standard wireless charging pad will keep your devices powered during long drives.
