"I owned a 2018 Tiguan and now 2021 Atlas Cross sport, it depends on what you want. The Tiguan acceleration didn't seem like a problem for me, 2.0 Turbo will go fast enough, We moved from Tiguan to Atlas due to need more cargo space. Travelling with kids means more stuff. As our kid gets older we'd like to go back to Tiguan for better mileage down the road. Sounds like you'd get a higher trim level if you went with the Tiguan as compared to Atlas, so keep that in mind as you consider things."
